Cannes Best Film Awards 2009

In 3453 Films have been nominated and out of that 261 have been picked up by the jury, chaired by David Lubars, chairman and chief creative officer, BBDO North America. From 261 nominations 16 were renowned and awarded with Gold, 36 Silver and 35 Bronze Lions.

The Film Grand Prix was nominated and awarded to The Film Grand Prix was awarded to Tribal DDB Amsterdam for the Philips Interactive Film “Carousel”. The prestigious Titanium Grand Prix and the Integrated Grand Prix were both won by Obama. For America in Washington for the Obama/Biden Presidential campaign. And for the best Advertising Agency of the Year the Award was presented to DDB BRASIL, Sao Paulo, the best Network of the year was given to BBDO and In the Palme d’Or, category the PHENOMENA Thailand was awarded for the best production company. A special jury commendation was given to Believe Media in Los Angeles for their Wassup ‘08 “True Vote” ad. The Mexican team winning the Gold medal Silver medal to Canada and Bronze medal to Denmark.
